Tercentenary Theatre
The Morning Exercises consist of orations, anthems, and the conferring of degrees on all graduates. Diplomas are received at ceremonies at the Houses and at individual School. Seating for the Morning Exercises is limited. Tickets are required for entry and may be picked up at registration headquarters. Guests may view a simulcast of the program in the Science Center.

Tercentenary Theatre
The Afternoon Program is the Annual Meeting of the Harvard Alumni Association. The 2019 program will be hosted by HAA President Margaret M. Wang AB ’09 and includes remarks by Harvard University President Lawrence S. Bacow JD ’76, MPP ’76, PhD ’78 and Commencement speaker German Chancellor Angela D. Merkel; an introduction of the 25th reunion chief marshal Tracy K. Smith AB ’94; the announcement of Harvard Overseer and HAA Director election results; and the presentation of the Harvard Medals. The Afternoon Program takes place from 2:30 p.m. until 4:15 p.m. at Tercentenary Theatre in Harvard Yard. Tickets required.

Join William Pirl MD ’94, MPH ’08, associate professor of psychiatry, and Jamie Jacobs, assistant professor of psychology, for a look inside their new undergraduate course, which brings the teaching and research of Harvard Medical School to Harvard Yard. Experience how students learn to examine scientific data and evidence—or lack of evidence—linking psychological practices with cancer survival, as well as develop and bring critical thinking skills to evaluating medical beliefs.
